How I:CO

I:CO provides a simple, efficient, environmentally-friendly 360° solution -- from the I:CO collection location all the way to recycled products. Easy. Quick. Convenient.

Collection. I:CO works through a network of partners -- primarily clothing and shoe retailers -- that have an I:CO sticker on their door and a prominently placed I:CO collection unit in their store(s).  This allows you to quickly and conveniently deposit used clothing and shoes. 

Get green for living green. All I:CO partners reward you for being environmentally conscious. Your used clothing and shoe pairs are instantly processed into vouchers that can be applied toward a purchase at the participating retailer(s). The number of vouchers received depends on the type and volume of donated clothing and/or shoes. Registration or membership is not required.

Give green. To give back locally, I:CO Partners support charitable projects with every Kilogram of clothing and shoes collected.

Pick-up. As collection units fill to capacity, I:CO dispatches local drivers who pick up the boxes and deliver the recyclables to I:CO’s environmentally-friendly processing plant for sorting, repurposing and recycling.

Recycling. Items are graded and hand-sorted according to over 400 criteria. The guiding principle: sort until there’s nothing left to be sorted. Zero Waste.  Those items that are too worn to be re-used are being recycled and turned into raw materials and new marketable products.
