GUESS PARTNERS WITH I:CO TO LAUNCH WARDROBE RECYCLING PROGRAM
Los Angeles, CA – GUESS is proud to partner with I:CO®, short for I:Collect, a global solutions provider and innovator for the collection, certified sorting, reuse and recycling of used apparel and footwear, to launch a wardrobe recycling program. The program, RESOURCED, launches in California on June 18, 2018, expanding to all North America by the end of 2018 and globally by 2020.

SOEX and I:CO launch world’s first recycling system for all footwear types
Wolfen, Germany, 6 June 2018. Following a five-year development phase, SOEX, a global leader in the field of used textiles marketing and recycling, and I:Collect GmbH, an international specialist for the collection, reuse and recycling of textiles and footwear, will today be presenting the world’s first shoe recycling plant able to process all types of footwear. This pioneering system will serve to reduce waste and to close production cycles helping to enable a circular economy for the industry. It is, moreover, the first ever system able to mechanically disassemble all shoe types into their components, and to then derive from them usable secondary raw materials such as rubber, leather or foam. The innovative system provides a much needed truly sustainable solution for all unwearable shoes!
I:CO announces partnership with French childrenswear brand Okaïdi - Obaïbi
Okaïdi – Obaïbi, the French childrenswear brand for kids, launches its LOVE BAG campaign together with I:CO, the global solutions provider for the collection, sorting, reuse or recycling of used textiles and shoes. Parents and children are encouraged to bring in their used clothing and shoes – any brand in dry, clean condition is accepted – at all participating Okaïdi – Obaïbi and IDKIDS.COMMUNITY stores in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Luxemburg. I:CO as well as Okaïdi – Obaïbi share the same vision: To help reduce textile waste by keeping it out of landfills or incineration, preserve resources and protect the environment.
I:CO announces global collaboration with Suitsupply
I:CO collaborates with Suitsupply in order to provide their customers a simple, convenient solution to promote product end-of-life responsibility. Customers of the men’s fashion brand can return their worn-out clothing and shoes in selected Suitsupply stores across the globe. These textiles are then sorted and brought to their next and ecologically most appropriate use. Items in good condition get a second life, unwearable textiles are recycled.

I:CO partners with Global Fashion Agenda
On May 11, 2017, decision-makers from the global fashion industry come together in Copenhagen for the 5th Copenhagen Fashion Summit. It is the main event of the non-profit, year-round initiative called the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA). The world’s leading business forum on sustainable fashion will address the most critical issues that our industry and planet face. This year’s main theme for the Summit is “Commitment to Change”. One of the expected outcomes of the 2017 Summit is the signing of a concrete call to action pledge put forward by GFA to create a unified effort in accelerating the fashion industry’s transition to a circular system.
